I have a soft spot for our garden Goldfinches after looking after a neglected fledgling, who I named Gordon, and then gleefully watched a family of Goldfinch successfully raised 5 young whilst on holiday in France. I must say that it was definitely a big highlight of my holiday even alongside Southern France being so beautiful.
I had to sketch a Goldfinch for my collection after my summer being full of them, so here he is.
